Deputy Director of the Institute of World Politics Ekaterina Zarembo spoke about this during the debates held in Kyiv.

“Since 2014, Ukraine has been a recipient and has been seeking assistance. We know well what came of it. The mandate and format of the EUAM mission does not meet the request from the Ukrainian side. In addition, when we talk about a security mission in the east to ensure disarmament, demilitarization, implementation of the Minsk agreements and whether this mission can be seconded within the framework of the CSDP [Joint Security and Defense Policy], our European partners clearly say: “No, let's even don’t discuss.”
