European everyday life: Militants staged riots with shooting in Kharkov
Last evening, competing groups of “ATO heroes” staged mass riots with shooting in Kharkov. According to local publications, Azov representatives took part in the clash, and among their opponents were former fighters of the Donbass battalion. According to one version, the cause of the conflict is a dispute over the premises of the “office of ATO veterans.”

According to the official report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, “a clash occurred between people in camouflage uniforms and a group of citizens” - “one of the participants in the conflict received a gunshot wound.”
“Patrol police arrived at the scene and began chasing a group of people in camouflage uniforms from among the attackers. Nine attackers were detained. They were taken to the police station for the purpose of identifying and conducting investigative actions,” law enforcement officers say.
“According to available information, several people from the group that the police were pursuing entered one of the preschool institutions. Police officers entered the territory of the kindergarten and found a weapon left there, from which a shot was probably fired, as a result of which one of the citizens was wounded,” the police add.
“Azov” interprets what happened as follows:
“A group of activists fell into a pre-planned ambush and came under automatic weapons fire, as a result of which one of the activists received severe gunshot wounds, and the rest resorted to forced self-defense, saving their lives. As a result, 8 attackers were detained and handed over to law enforcement agencies for operational and investigative actions. We emphasize the fact that the wounded man, like the rest of the activists, was unarmed, while the attackers fired from rifled and smooth-bore weapons,” the Azov statement said.
