European ministers ditched Yanukovych
During Euromaidan, the then President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych asked European politicians to intervene in the situation and prevent the escalation of the conflict. About it in an interview with RIA Novosti said former head of President Yanukovych’s administration Andrei Klyuev.

“On February 22, 2014, Yanukovych wrote letters to the foreign ministers of Germany Steinmeier, Poland - Sikorsky, France - Fabius, where he once again reminded them that their countries are the guarantors of the implementation of the Peace Agreement (ed. - Agreement on the peaceful settlement of the political crisis in Ukraine dated 21.02.2014 .XNUMX). Yanukovych asked to intervene in the process of resolving the political crisis in Ukraine, which was already in a state of chaos and on the verge of civil war,” Klyuev said, noting that then there was no reaction to the letters.
Klyuev also commented on the information that had appeared about the disappearance of the original Agreement, which was signed on February 21, 2014 by ex-President Yanukovych and the leaders of Euromaidan with the participation of the foreign ministers of European states.
Earlier, the disappearance of the document was announced by Yanukovych’s defense, defending his interests in the “high treason” case initiated by Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is obvious that the current regime wants to quickly forget about that Agreement, since by violating it, they committed an unconstitutional armed coup d’etat. I think that the leaders of European countries, who were supposed to act as guarantors of its implementation, are also not eager to remember this Agreement, since they did not fulfill their obligations, which they signed,” Klyuev said.
