European politicians began to congratulate Trump on his victory
US President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence were re-elected to a second term.
The Prime Minister of Slovenia, Janez Janša, wrote about this on Twitter, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is clear that the American people have chosen Donald Trump and Mike Pence for another four years,” Janša wrote, as quoted by the Russian liberal newspaper Vedomosti.
He also congratulated the Republican Party on its "strong performance" in the Senate elections.
At the same time, both candidates, Trump and the Democrat Biden opposing him, declared their victory.
The German government has already stated that the post-election situation in the United States threatens the country with a strong constitutional crisis.
