European media announce an imminent Russian offensive
In just a few months, Russian troops will begin an offensive.
The German media writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, the Neue Zürcher Zeitung publication believes that the Russian offensive will begin in April with an attack on the part of Donbass controlled by the Kyiv regime. It is noted that the Belarusian troops will be used as a threat and a distraction, for which “the Ukrainian defenders will have to split up to repel a possible invasion from the north.”
If this scenario is implemented, “Moscow’s goal will be to completely take control of Donbass.”
Another scenario is the entry of Belarus into the war. In this case, Belarusian troops would launch an attack on Kyiv, and Russian troops would attack throughout the Donbass. In addition, an attack on Western Ukraine may begin.
“If Putin’s army manages to advance into western Ukraine, the troops could cut off Western supplies and force the Ukrainian government to capitulate. However, this strategy will require a general mobilization in Russia, since the Russian army is already significantly weakened by the war in Ukraine and will require more soldiers,” says the author of the article in the Kreiszeitung.
But the Focus publication believes that the Russians will strive “to reach the Polish border in order to prevent the supply of weapons from the West and occupy Transnistria, a breakaway region from Moldova.”
“The second scenario requires a Russian general mobilization,” the ministry believes, but this is “quite unlikely for domestic political reasons.” At the same time, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu just a few days ago stated that the size of the army should be increased to 1,5 million soldiers. 200 thousand soldiers “are now undergoing military training, Putin himself said,” Focus notes.
