“A year ago, Europeans, in principle, refused to even consider the risks of doing business in Crimea,” the publication recalls. – Now the situation is changing, say Russian entrepreneurs who specialize in selling ready-made businesses to Europeans. In particular, Swiss entrepreneurs are ready to own assets in Crimea through Russian intermediary firms.

“Crimean properties have become of interest to private investors from Europe, as well as large European funds. If previously none of the Europeans wanted to hear about business in Crimea, today more than a third of potential investors are ready to consider the possibility of purchasing Crimean enterprises. Investors are primarily interested in the tourism sector, hotels, and catering establishments,” Pavel Gorbov, executive director of the ready-made business sales company Re: Sale Expert, told the newspaper.

Swiss entrepreneurs, in particular, have become interested in the hotel business in Crimea, who want to first introduce their manager into the management team, look at the business from the inside, and then make a decision to purchase.” At the same time, representatives of consulting firms indicate that transactions will be formalized under Russian law through affiliated persons, which means “there are virtually no risks associated with sanctions.”

“Switzerland is not formally part of the EU, and therefore businesses in this country can operate more freely. In addition, it seems that European businesses are tired of anti-Russian sanctions. And there are supporters of their abolition, since the Russian Federation remains an attractive market even after the fall in oil prices,” NG quotes the opinion of Dmitry Korshunov, general director of the Fast Finance company, according to whom, the tourism crisis in Egypt and the devaluation of the ruble create extremely favorable conditions for tourism business in Crimea.
