Deputy Minister for Crimean Affairs Andrei Sokolov stated this at a round table within the Sochi Investment Forum.
“We work not only with Russian companies and companies from those countries that have not announced sanctions against the Russian Federation - China, Korea and so on.
We are actively working with European businesses, which, despite the sanctions, are looking for opportunities and ways to solve the problem. All those who wanted to invest in Crimea, or were thinking about it, almost all continue to demonstrate their interest and are carrying out some pre-project work,” the official noted.
According to Andrei Sokolov, the bill on the free economic zone provides benefits both for companies already operating on the peninsula and for new investors.
