“A state that kills its population by military force and passes clearly chauvinistic laws in its national parliament can in no way move closer to the European Union,” he said.
“In 2013, they promised Ukraine a visa-free travel regime within the EU, as well as a high standard of living. Instead of a carrot, Ukrainians received a stick. It became clear to everyone under whose dictation the promises were announced, what these pink clouds turned into a year later?” – the politician recalled.
According to the leader of the Hungarian party, Ukraine cannot become a member of the EU without achieving strict adaptation criteria.
“Today Ukraine is so far from these criteria that in the process of adaptation, looking back, the European Union may simply no longer exist,” Vona concluded.
