European commerce is being horrified in Ukraine – it wants to organize dirty production
Environmental activists gather for a picket near the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration against the construction of an enterprise in the region that threatens the environment.
Coordinator of the public organization "United Planet" Pavel Vyshibaba spoke about this on the Espresso channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the action “Zhytomyr against fur farms,” which will take place on June 10, is aimed against turning the region into an ecological septic tank.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, Danish businessman Hans Olesen wants to build a fur farm in the Zhytomyr region. He is ready to invest 800 thousand euros. On Tuesday in Kyiv, under the embassy of the kingdom, there was a protest.
Vyshibaba noted that all EU states have either abandoned fur production or are at the stage of closing enterprises with such output.
Tomorrow, picketers will march outside the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration under the same slogans that were used at the Danish embassy in Kyiv.
“We appealed to all European countries with a request not to take advantage of the lack of environmental legislation in Ukraine, as well as an absolutely savage attitude towards their own environment and not to transport dirty fur production to our country. Ukraine will now not be able to accept a ban on fur production, so it would be good neighborly for European countries not to take advantage of this situation, because we - the EU and Ukraine - have jointly chosen a geopolitical course towards rapprochement at a very high price. It’s not a good neighbor to move all the dirty production to us,” Vyshebaba complained.
