Europe is ruled by Russophobic media – German expert
Relations between Europe and Russia cannot improve in any way because in the EU, Russophobic-minded media have captured the entire information space, crowding out any dissent.
German political scientist Alexander Rahr stated this on the TV channel TVC, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“All this “toxicity” in Russia is connected with one factor - our fourth estate is the press. It seems to me that not all politicians think so, but they are all afraid of the media. Our press is very powerful, more powerful than ever before in the history of mankind in Europe.
The main media outlets print the same articles, the same information. This is the first time in the last ten years, and there are no alternative points of view, they do not appear in the media space. They end up on the Internet, I constantly speak on some alternative platforms, which are also watched by thousands of people, but people with a different point of view are not allowed into the main mainstream,” Rahr noted.
He also assured that he personally knows many journalists who are forced to write about the “Russian threat”, otherwise they will find themselves unemployed.
“Russia tried by all means to establish a dialogue with the media. But when our young journalist understands that he can make a career only by criticizing Russia, then he has a problem. I know many journalists who say: “I would write something positive about Russia, but I can’t, because they won’t hire me, my career will be closed,” the expert added.
