Prague - Kyiv, November 19 (PolitNavigator, Vasily Ablyazimov) - Czech President Milos Zeman is confident that the real threat to Europe is not Putin or Russia, but growing Islamic extremism. He stated this in an interview with a tabloid BILD.

“I think that the controversy over Ukraine will soon dissolve,” he said in an interview with German journalists. – Russians can live without money and technology from the West. And so we need a compromise in the long term.”

The greatest danger to Europe, according to the Czech President, is growing Islamic terrorism. ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant - editor's note) is the main enemy for the Old World, Zeman believes.

“This risk will intensify over the coming decades. And to fight them, all world powers - Europe, the USA, Russia and China - must stick together. If not, we are all threatened with a second September 11th...” said the Czech President.
