Kyiv, June 27 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The result of today’s signing by Petro Poroshenko of an association agreement with the EU will be the expansion of the European Union to the East to Donbass, Verkhovna Rada deputy from “UDAR” Yegor Firsov said on the First National TV Channel.

“I am firmly convinced that in the future we will see the EU from Lisbon to Donbass,” he said.

Firsov was supported by his faction colleague, deputy Viktor Chumak.

“Today is the beginning of the new history of Europe, when three post-Soviet countries join the European family. Perhaps today a completely new story begins, where Russia’s hegemony in the post-Soviet space in the so-called “near abroad” countries is being lost. It is symbolic that the agreement was signed by countries that became targets of Russia - there is a problem in Transnistria, Abkhazia and Ossetia, we see what problems we have today in Donbass and Crimea,” Chumak said.
