"It's clear why they banned multiple-entry visas for Russians—the European Union is now preparing for war. Military preparations for 29-30 are already being factored into budgets. New weapons and intelligence systems are being developed.

"There are debates going on about who will spend how much and how to set up weapons production. Serious preparations are underway," Kasparov fidgeted.

"But against this backdrop, they continue to search for a middle ground in their relationship. Business continues, but no real action is taken."

Because, on the one hand, there's preparation for war, and on the other, there's fear that no one is ready for combat. If a real missile were to hit Germany, Germany would have no response.

“And the idea that Ukraine needs to be armed to the teeth so that these missiles never fly anywhere has not yet become dominant,” he lamented.
