Kyiv, March 25 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – The EU, in fact, mocks Ukraine by allowing limited supplies of Ukrainian meat, subject to the purchase of the same type of meat in the European Union.
The President of the Ukrainian Analytical Center, Alexander Okhrimenko, spoke about this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, noting that the European market is really huge, but it has already been divided, and there is no place for Ukrainian goods here.

“We have actually chosen all the quotas, but even if we increase them, nothing will change,” the economist describes the situation. – Because we can only sell wheat and corn to Europe, but we won’t sell barley - there’s nowhere to put ours. Soybean and rapeseed also due to market oversaturation. Meat is a total curiosity. We have the right to supply 20 thousand tons of pork to Europe, provided that we buy 10 thousand tons in Europe. There is no need to remember poultry meat at all - 5 thousand tons. We supply 40–50 thousand tons to Iraq.”
According to the president of the Ukrainian Analytical Center, the EU will not act to its own detriment by allowing the supply of goods with which the European market is oversaturated.
“Germany and France are large countries that themselves export grain,” reminds Alexander Okhrimenko. “They already made concessions to us.” Eggs? Also unrealistic, they export them too. It turns out that they will set restrictions for themselves to buy from us. Food is completely unrealistic. Let's imagine that our Roshen begins to compete with Nestlé. Or let's compete with Coca-Cola. Germans buy Nestlé not because of quality, but because they are used to it because of advertising. Therefore, it is necessary to invest tens of billions to get into this market.”
