The European Union promises Ukraine “full political and financial support”
The European Union will confirm its full political and financial support for Ukraine, as well as its firm position of non-recognition of the Russian status of Crimea, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by the EU representative for foreign affairs and security policy, Federica Mogherini, before the start of today's meeting of the heads of the EU foreign ministers, dedicated to the “Russian” issue and the conflict in Ukraine, Radio Liberty reports.
“In Kyiv, I conveyed a message of full support for the EU and the full implementation of the Minsk agreements and the policy of non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea, which we consider illegal. And also our full support for the reform program - we will talk about all of this with the ministers,” said the head of European diplomacy.
However, she added that she expects “full political and financial support” from Ukraine.
