This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by the director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflict Studies, Mikhail Pogrebinsky, who drew attention to one of the provisions of the new foreign policy concept of the EU regarding the possible expansion of the European Union.
“They wrote this even before Brexit, but even then Ukraine was not mentioned,” the expert noted. – There is a rather florid phrase there that can be interpreted as follows: under certain conditions, we may still consider Turkey and some Balkan countries for expansion, but there is no mention of Ukraine at all. Our elites need to calm down about European integration, but, frankly speaking, I don’t believe in it.”
