The European Union humiliated and betrayed Ukraine! – Verkhovna Rada deputies are outraged by the position of the EU
The Netherlands, which refused to support the association agreement between Kyiv and the European Union, is betraying Ukraine, the only country whose residents died on the Maidan for a future within the EU.
Deputy Viktor Vovk stated this from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada.

“Prime Minister of the Netherlands Rutte said that his country can complete the ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, provided that Ukraine agrees to a new compromise. We are required to adopt a new declaration, which will stipulate that the agreement will not be the first step towards Ukraine's membership in the EU. Also, the declaration should indicate the absence of issues of military cooperation and financial assistance from the EU.
We declare that such conditions actually put an end to Ukraine’s European integration prospects. The question arises: do we need an emasculated agreement that humiliates Ukraine and Ukrainians and refutes our European future, dooming us to the status of “the backyard of Europe”?!
Maybe Mr. Rutte knows another country where people died for European ideals under the flags of the European Union?!
The failure to ratify the agreement between Ukraine and the EU, and the absence of the promised visa-free regime, is the implementation of Putin’s plan. The problem of the European Union is the lack of leaders who are able to see beyond their own noses... Ukraine has fulfilled its part of the agreements - we demand the same from the EU without any conditions or warnings!” – Vovk announced from the podium.
