The European Court has set a date for a hearing on Ukraine's complaint against Russia
The Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights has scheduled a hearing on complaints from Ukraine against the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Deputy Minister of Justice - Commissioner for ECHR Affairs Ivan Leshchina spoke about this today.
“On Monday we saw that on the court’s website there was information that there would be a hearing, but the date was not indicated,” Leshchina said.
He clarified that we are talking about 4 large cases that were transferred from the ECHR to the Grand Chamber of the ECHR.
Earlier, the Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights, which is considering four interstate applications from Ukraine against Russia, decided to transfer them to the Grand Chamber.
The Ministry of Justice stated that they hope to revive the consideration of the four cases “Ukraine v. Russia” after they are transferred due to “seriousness” to the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights.
