About it on your page on the social network Facebook wrote the press secretary of the eldest son of ex-president Alexander Yanukovych, Yuri Kirasir.

“In this case, which began in May 2014, Viktor Viktorovich Yanukovych challenged the EU sanctions in the Court, seeking the repeal of the relevant Decisions and Resolutions of the EU Council to the extent that they were applicable to him. Mr. Yanukovych died in March 2015 and his widow Olga Stanislavovna Yanukovych received permission from the Court to continue the case as his heir and legal successor. In June 2015, the Council of the European Union, by its decision, excluded the name of Mr. Yanukovych from the sanctions list,” wrote Yuriy Kirasir and attached the text of the court ruling.

Let us recall that the EU imposed sanctions against Viktor Yanukovych Jr. in 2014, and in 2015 he died on Lake Baikal.
