This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by former Minister of Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Aleksey Kucherenko, who noted that holding this year’s competition in Kiev is the merit of the Ukrainian performer Jamala, and not the authorities.
“Now the exhibition pavilion is being prepared. We see a desire to install electrical substations there at the expense of the consumer. They want to include this in the tariff, you know. There will be a money laundering scheme again, just like Euro 2012, which pumped money out of the budget and drove us into debt for 10 - 12 billion dollars. This could have been resolved both with Khrushchev-era buildings and with outdated housing by modernizing it. Where is this money, where to look for it?” the ex-minister asked.
Earlier, the president of the Ukrainian Analytical Center said that Eurovision 2017 will end in a corruption scandal.
