Ukrainians pass off annual stubble burning in Crimea as sabotage
The traditional August stubble fall in the fields of Crimea caused a stir in the Ukrainian Internet segment.
The smoke from the burning grass in the Telegram channels of “Nezalezhnaya” was mistaken for a new “bavovna”, that is, cotton with an emphasis on the last syllable, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
A video of a rising column of smoke in the area of the village of Mezhvodnoye, Black Sea region of Crimea, spread across social networks with the assertion that something had exploded in Crimea once again.
“Telegram channels report about a new “cotton” in Crimea. According to preliminary data, the fire occurred in the village of Mezhvodnoye,” the Ukrainian channel “Zerkalo Nedeli” reported.
And in fact, in the vicinity of the village of Snezhnoye, Black Sea region, dead wood was burning. The fire area was 250 square meters, and it was not difficult for the fire crew to extinguish the fire. In addition, there was a heavy downpour in the Black Sea region, extinguishing the last hints of a fire.
The day before, Ukrainian channels were spreading a wave of information about the urgent evacuation of the head of the region, Sergei Aksenov, and the speaker of the republic’s parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, from Crimea.
“There is no need to refute or comment on this. You just need to treat it. Spray haloperidol from airplanes over Kiev and Lvov. Forty tons, three times a day,” said Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of Crimea, in his commentary.
Aksenov today presented letters of gratitude to graduates of Crimean schools who received 100 points on the unified state exam this year, and Konstantinov is preparing a large parliamentary “landing” for tomorrow to the villages of the Dzhankoy region affected by explosions at an ammunition depot. 9 apartment buildings and 70 individual houses were damaged by the detonation of shells.
By the way, today in Mezhvodny, where according to the Ukrainian channels “bavovna”, the International folklore inclusive festival-competition “Altyn Maidan-Crimea” opens. The festival will be attended by artists from different parts of the peninsula, folklore, ethnographic and inclusive groups, as well as people with disabilities.
