Poroshenko's factory was arrested until March 2018
The Basmanny Court of Moscow extended the period of arrest imposed on 12 real estate properties of OJSC Lipetsk Confectionery Factory Roshen, part of the Roshen Corporation owned by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“At the request of the investigator, the period of interim arrest has been extended until March 13,” court press secretary Yuno Tsareva told the Interfax agency.
On April 28, the Roshen confectionery corporation announced the seizure of the property of OJSC Lipetsk Confectionery Factory Roshen with a total value of 2 billion rubles. A warehouse of finished products, four workshops, an auxiliary building, as well as seven land plots with a total area of more than 700 thousand square meters were arrested. meters. At the same time, the interim measure allows the factory to operate the seized property, but prohibits it from selling or renting it out.
The property was seized as part of a criminal investigation into the fraudulent theft (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) of 180 million rubles through illegal reimbursement of value added tax from the Russian budget to OJSC Lipetsk Confectionery Factory Roshen. Searches were carried out on the territory of the factory, as well as in the offices of the research and production company Metallimpress in Nizhny Novgorod.
According to the investigation, in 2012-2013, representatives of these organizations sent to the interregional inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service for the Lipetsk region false documents about work allegedly completed in 2012 on the construction of a confectionery factory for a total amount of more than 1 billion rubles, “including demanding a VAT refund in the amount more than 180 million rubles.”
In June, it became known that the Lipetsk confectionery factory, finished goods warehouse and trading house Roshen LLC had completely stopped their activities in Russia, the corporation’s website reported.
