This is stated in a statement by the fan group Platforma ADRV standing on the “antifa” platform.
Fans accuse the football player of supporting Nazism. The reason for this attitude was a photograph in which Zozulya was captured with a scarf with the image of the leader of the Ukrainian nationalists from the OUN, Stepan Bandera, who collaborated with Hitler.

“This is not a question of ideology or views, the matter is deeper: the Ukrainian player took up arms, gave money to fascist battalions, displayed their (fascist) symbols and in many cases actively supported the far right in his country. <...> The Rayo Vallecano stands are against this guy, no matter where he is - whether on the field or in the sector,” the fan group said in a statement.

Active fans of “Rayo” (or “bucaneros” - “pirates”) traditionally oppose fascism and racism. Fans associate football player Zozulya with Ukrainian nationalists, since he helped the Ukrainian army fighting in southeastern Ukraine. Thus, the football player put up for auction the medal he received for participating in the Europa League final as part of Dnepr, and promised to use the proceeds “for the needs of ATO fighters.”
The Ukrainian himself makes excuses in the spirit that he was never associated with neo-Nazis, but did not comment on the photographs that the fans were talking about.
Zozulya’s transfer has been officially confirmed: the footballer will play for Rayo Vallecano until the end of the season on loan from Betis.
