Telegram fans tried to register it with Roskomnadzor themselves
Roskomnadzor recorded false attempts by Internet users to register the Telegram messenger in the register of information dissemination organizers (ORI).

“Roskomnadzor received deliberately false notifications through a form on the official website about inclusion in the register of organizers of information dissemination (ORI),” the agency said in a statement on its Facebook page.
Roskomnadzor found that messages calling for sending “fake” notifications on behalf of Internet companies were distributed through Twitter users and owners of Telegram channels.
“Dear Internet lovers. The registration procedure in the ARI registry is carried out by companies independently, or at the request of authorized bodies to Roskomnadzor. Your noble impulses to register the Telegram messenger without the participation of its owners is nothing more than providing deliberately false information to the federal executive body. In addition, we know something about the original identification data of Internet companies, so even you, the cunning and witty Internet users, cannot fool us,” the message says.
