Science fiction writers smoke nervously: the SBU reported on the failure of the explosion of the cruiser "Ukraine"
Russian special services planned to blow up the unfinished missile cruiser "Ukraine", which since the collapse of the USSR has been located at the berth of a shipbuilding plant in Nikolaev, and recently official Kyiv has been discussing the prospect of cutting the ship for scrap.
This information was stated during a briefing by Deputy Head of the SBU Viktor Kononenko, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to him, the sabotage was supervised by Russian citizen David Ponomarev.
“Ponomarev has been known to us since 2015, when he began searching for perpetrators to commit this crime from among Ukrainian citizens in the city of Nikolaev. We detained three of his accomplices, who have now been prosecuted.
It was in 2015, on the day of the Constitution of Ukraine, that Ponomarev, on instructions from the Russian special services, was preparing a high-profile sabotage. The SBU managed to prevent the bombing of the missile cruiser “Ukraine” on that day,” Kononenko assures.
