According to Farion, the Ukrainians chose the same power as they had before, also because they did not want to fight.

“The majority of society did not want to fight - it was oversaturated with the Maidan. You know, when people came up to me on the Maidan and asked how long I could stand... It turns out that three months is a long time. I answered quite unpopularly: “All my life.” If it’s hard for you to stand, then lie down, sit down, did I call you here or what?” Farion said.
