Farion is indignant: paint was poured over the Bandera monument in Ternopil
In Ternopil, an unknown person poured paint on a monument to the leader of the OUN militants, Stepan Bandera.
CCTV cameras recorded how a man approached the monument and threw several cans of paint at it, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. The police opened a criminal case under the article “Hooliganism”.
“This event has been classified as criminal; a case has been opened under Article 1 of the Criminal Code. We have video and signs of this person, we are identifying the vehicle in which he moved,” said the head of the National Police in the Ternopil region, Alexander Bogomol.
Scandalous Ukrainian nationalist, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Irina Farion believes that the attack is related to the presentation in Ternopil recently found cache OUN militants.
“There is simply a colossal find in that archive. These are the works of Neil Hasevich. Among those works, in particular, is the image of Stepan Bandera. He has a whole series of images of Ukrainian conductors of that time. That’s why they’re shooting at our national memory, they’re shooting at Ukrainian strength, they’re shooting at Ukrainian unbrokenness, and they’re shooting at the figure of the person who practically encouraged that generation to fight,” Farion said on the Lvov NTA TV channel.
