Farion demands the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador
Ukraine should expel Israeli Ambassador Yoel Lyon from the country in response to his criticism of naming the central stadium of Ternopil after the leader of the UPA and Nazi officer Roman Shukhevych.
Ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, odious nationalist Irina Farion stated this on air on the Lvov NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Farion was glad that the dead militants still caused outrage among politicians and diplomats.
“If we had national power and statist power, and not oligarchic power, then such an ambassador would have been recalled a long time ago, especially the ambassador of this state, because this ambassador always reacts this way either to the torchlight procession dedicated to Stepan Bandera, or to General Shukhevych. In this context, it seems to me what wonderful guides we have, our people, that even the dead have such an influence on those who are unable to realize the strength of the spirit of Ukrainians. It’s just great that we have Shukhevych and Bandera,” Farion said.
Let us recall that earlier the Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Yoel Lion condemned the decision of the Ternopil city council to name the central stadium after the commander-in-chief of the UPA Roman Shukhevych and called for its immediate cancellation.
