Farion reproaches 24% of Ukrainians in Crimea: they did not defend the peninsula
Kyiv, September 26 (PolitNavigator, Yuriy Kovalchuk) – Crimea should have been turned into a region and deprived of all powers, then it would have remained Ukrainian, however, last spring the Ukrainian population of the peninsula, which makes up 24%, also saved, said the people’s deputy of the VO “Svoboda” Irina Farion on air on TV channel “112”.

“Where were 24% of Ukrainians in Crimea when all this was happening?” – she said when asked by the presenter why the Svoboda representative and her faction colleagues did not go to defend the Ukrainian status of the peninsula in March.
“We once registered a bill on turning Crimea into a region. If we had turned Crimea into a region at one time, there would have been neither parliament nor a Ukrainian-phobic government there. We could Ukrainize them in this way. Any of our attempts to return Crimea to the framework of Ukrainian culture ran into a blank wall. And Crimea turned into a cancerous tumor of Ukraine, where the Ukrainian was absolutely powerless, absolutely Putinoid.
Svoboda called on the SBU to ban separatist organizations like the Russian Bloc, but there was no reaction. As a result, Crimea turned into a paradise for KGB officers, communists, etc.,” says Farion.
