Farion complained on TV about the dominance of “Little Russians and crests”
Despite the laws to oust the Russian language, Ukrainian music did not fill the airwaves of television channels and radio stations. The reason is that, in pursuit of profit, media owners are guided by the tastes of listeners, and among them there are still too many “Little Russians and crests.”
Ukrainian nationalist and ex-people's deputy Irina Farion complained about this on the Rada TV channel.
According to her, at the same time, there is so much national “cultural product” in Ukraine that they can flood the airwaves with it.

“Ridiculous law on 30% quotas for Ukrainian music. What does this indicate? This indicates that, in fact, Ukrainian music, a pop product, is completely possible. But at the same time, in Ukraine we have so many Little Russians and crests who are terrified of the Ukrainian product. That is, today we can affirm the absolute and complete triumph of Ukrainian culture at all heights, but there is a block to this - not to show it,” Farion laments.
