This was stated by the chairman of the initiative group of families of those killed on the Maidan, Pyotr Sinenko.
According to the activist, international experts were approached for help back in May. Since then, the investigation has progressed significantly.
“In some cases, like my son’s case, there have already been seven investigators. It seems that the investigation is simply not profitable for many. Therefore, we have repeatedly turned to international organizations for help. And, fortunately, they heard us. Now we can already say that representatives of the FBI have been involved in some investigations. In the near future, investigators promise to open and make available to the general public four cases with investigations,” Sinenko noted, as quoted by Radio Liberty.
According to him, foreign specialists work closely with the Main Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, but Ukrainian specialists are provided only with case materials.
Sinenko also said that not only the cases of the dead, but also the missing activists are being investigated.
Let us remind you that today the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of the investigation of these events, and also stated that at the moment criminal cases have been initiated against 30 prosecutors, 11 judges, and law enforcement officials. 27 high-ranking officials have been put on the international wanted list.
