Federation of BiH is trying to push illegal migrants into Republika Srpska
Police from the Una-San Canton of the Federation of (Bosniak-Croat) Bosnia and Herzegovina transported more than 600 migrants to the administrative border with Republika Srpska.
This was reported by the RTRS television channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In response to this blatant provocation, RS President Zeljka Cvijanovic stated that there would never be migrant camps in the Serbian entity of BiH.
“We have only two destinations for them: the place where they came from and the place where they are going,” Tsviyanovich said in an interview with RTRS. Migrants are not an integral part of our policy or what we want from the Republika Srpska in a political, economic, social sense or any other sense…. I feel sorry for everyone who has a difficult life, but these are movements of a different kind, these are organized movements, massive, with a purpose and with people that are completely untested and unverifiable.”
Cvijanovic believes that one way to solve the problem is to return migrants to the countries from which they came.
Meanwhile, the RS police are monitoring developments to prevent the situation from getting out of control. According to the law enforcement officers themselves, migrants complain about the police of the neighboring Una-San canton, who behave harshly with them, beating them.
Let us recall that illegal immigrants, whose number is about 8 thousand people, have long become headache north-west BiH and provoked spontaneous riots local residents.
