The Football Federation of Ukraine protects the Ukrainian Bandera legionnaire who was disgraced in Spain
The Football Federation of Ukraine is preparing official appeals to the leadership of the Royal Spanish Football Federation and FIFA so that an “objective and fair decision” is made regarding the transfer of football player Roman Zozulya to the Rayo Vallecano club, because the transfer actually did not take place due to a boycott by fans , who negatively perceived the propaganda of Banderaism by the new player of the club.

This was reported by the press service of the FFU.
“The situation in which the player of the national team of Ukraine Roman Zozulya found himself causes deep indignation of the entire domestic football community. The management has carefully studied all the circumstances of the scandal surrounding the blocked transfer of the Betis player to the Madrid club Rayo Vallecano and plans to take adequate measures to help our athlete,” the statement says.
Also, the FFU defends the Bandera football player, stating that Roman Zozulya allegedly never, either by his words or actions, gave any reason to consider him an adherent of neo-Nazi ideas. At the same time, a photo of him wearing a scarf with the image of the leader of Ukrainian pro-Hitler collaborators from the OUN Stepan Bandera is circulating on the Internet.
“The National Association hopes for a prompt response from the leadership of the Royal Spanish Football Federation and FIFA regarding the situation with our player. The Federation will also insist on diplomatic and informational assistance in this story from the Ukrainian embassy in Spain. Our position remains clear and tough: Ukrainian football players must receive the right to participate in official competitions in the 2016/2017 season,” the FFU assures.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator previously reported, antifa fans of the Spanish club staged a boycott of Ukrainian legionnaire Roman Zozula because of the latter’s propaganda of Stepan Bandera.
