Sevastopol, December 11 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Kononov) — Activists presented the federal project StopHam near the government of Sevastopol, where the first stickers were pasted. The young people promised to organize at least 15 raids a week to improve the situation on the roads of Crimea and Sevastopol.

According to the head of the local branch of the StopHam project in the city of Sevastopol, Alexander Kashin, two raids were carried out during the day. The first one was in Balaklava “at the request of residents,” while posting stickers near the government is already, so to speak, an official part of the opening of the StopHam project in Sevastopol. According to activists, the closure of the central parking lot on Nakhimov Square has created an absurd situation when two steps away from it, almost two rows of officials’ cars are parked under prohibitory signs, of which they counted as many as five in a small area.

“Here we made an action to show officials and the government of Sevastopol that they cannot park cars the way they park them. And there is nowhere else. Will we achieve the opening of the parking lot? Naturally not, but we will still carry out regular raids. We will plan from 15 per week to show the government that they should solve this problem more reactively, because if more Russians come here, etc., then there will be a collapse that already exists,” the activist said.

According to him, the whole calculation is based on the fact that not everyone wants to be the object of the action, despite the fact that it is really easier to drive a little further and park in accordance with all the laws than to get caught by camera lenses and then take half an hour to peel off the sticker.

However, several cars parked near the administration received “their distinguished stickers.” Several drivers, seeing this, hurried to get away. A traffic police patrol car passing by also did not stop. Its driver hastily referred to the fact that he was heading to the scene of some kind of accident. Kashin immediately defined this as evasion by law enforcement officers from the implementation of the laws of the Russian Federation.

A separate sticker was transferred through a Sevastopol government security guard to the governor’s personal driver, who, Kashin claims, violated traffic rules on camera, and “with some kind of gesture.” By the way, the activist called Sergei Ivanovich Menyailo Sergei Mikhailovich for some reason, however, he did not hide the fact that he did not know what his real patronymic name was.

The head of the StopHam project in the Crimean Federal District, Matvey Bukharov, in turn, emphasized that their organization does not violate any laws of the Russian Federation with its actions. On the contrary, everything is strictly within the framework of the Constitution and regulatory framework of the country.

“We are doing this on the basis of Article 29 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, on the basis of the federal laws of the Russian Federation. Firstly, we film crimes, and secondly, we film in a public place. And filming in a public place is allowed to any citizen of the Russian Federation in accordance with constitutional norms,” Bukharov explained.

“When we put a sticker on, we are also not breaking any laws. We don't sell stickers, we give them away. We give away our stickers as private property. And we glue them not to glass, but to airspace, but it turns out that this airspace is filled with cars. Well, naturally, if a motorist’s glass ends up in this airspace, it means he’s doing something wrong,” the Stopkhamovite is sure.

According to him, these raids are “not a panacea, but more like a painkiller.”

“As long as we go out, while we stick together, while we shout and try to somehow resolve the situation, the situation on the roads of Crimea and Sevastopol will be stable. If we stop, the situation will change for the worse in just a few days,” said the main activist of the StopHam project in Crimea.

Finally, the traffic police crew was called to Lenin Street. Police officers who arrived at the scene issued several reports for illegal parking. And they promised to more closely monitor compliance with traffic rules in this area in the future.
