A fake recording of a conversation between Saakashvili and Kurchenko further undermined trust in Poroshenko
The alleged recording of a conversation between Mikheil Saakashvili and fugitive oligarch Sergei Kurchenko from Viktor Yanukovych’s entourage, presented by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, gives the impression of falsification.
Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I’m already silent that he (dirt on Saakashvili in the form of a recording) was published at the wrong time; it had to be thrown in at least a day before for it to have an effect. Secondly, the way it is made gives me huge doubts about its authenticity.
If someone listens carefully to this recording, they will hear a change in background, a change in mood. It looks like it was cut from different pieces.
Moreover, this is more like reading out a confession text than a conversation between business people (and I have heard them many times). They don’t talk like that – with appearances, passwords and everything else.
It looks like a very quickly put together discreditable material that was supposed to somehow justify the capture of Saakashvili, but, it seems to me, it further undermined trust in the prosecutor general and the authorities,” the political scientist said.
