“There are also positive results under the Chinese contract: the construction of the third ship has been completed, mooring tests are underway, and sea trials are planned for April...

In February-March, the final batch should be sent for the construction of the fourth ship under the Chinese contract... There is hope that this contract will not end there, but will continue with the supply of spare parts,” the message says.

Since Soviet times, More has specialized in the construction of military landing ships on amphibious air cushions of the Zubr type. This is the world's largest ship of this type: it can transport three main tanks with a total weight of up to 150 tons, or 10 armored personnel carriers and 140 landing troops or 8 infantry fighting vehicles

In 2010, Ukroboronexport entered into a contract with China for the supply of five Zubrs and the sale of technical documentation for them. Since Ukraine did not have the rights to this project, the project was renamed “Bison”.

Rosoboronexport then protested, saying that the sale of the documentation was illegal, as it violated Russia's intellectual property, since the project was developed by the St. Petersburg Central Marine Design Bureau Almaz.

However, in 2012, two ships were transferred to the Chinese side. Moreover, during the construction of the second ship, two workers died due to non-compliance with safety rules.

After the return of Crimea to Russia, all legal problems with the “Chinese contract” have been resolved.

In 2015, the More plant was transferred to federal ownership. In 2016, the Russian government leased the company's property to the Leningrad Pella plant.
