“A festival with the IAEA, a grain deal – you’ve been cheated, and that serves you right!” – Kedmi on negotiations with the West
Until the victory over Ukraine, it is pointless to conduct any negotiations with Washington and the collective West - they only understand the position of strength.
The former head of the Israeli intelligence service Nativ, military expert Yakov Kedmi, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What do you want to achieve in your negotiations with someone with whom it is impossible to negotiate? Because, firstly, they don’t want to negotiate with you. Whenever there are negotiations, what is the goal of the other side in these negotiations? Bargain something from you, and you will agree: well, okay, we’ll give you a little bit as part of maintaining mutual trust. They'll take it. And at the next negotiations there will be more, but they didn’t give you anything.
This festival with the IAEA, what has it achieved? Did you achieve anything there? What goal did you set and what did you achieve? In addition to statements on their behalf: “Get out of Zaporozhye, you. Leave the nuclear power plant." Is this why you started these negotiations? Is this why you continue to talk to them? Did you give them legitimation for this? And you gave them legitimation by starting negotiations, accepting their proposal, saying that “it is difficult to fulfill them.” So who do you have a complaint against?” – Kedmi noted rhetorically.
He emphasized that after the grain deal, Russian grain continues to be blocked, despite all the promises.
“Have you agreed, six months have passed, is Russian grain going somewhere? You agreed? Were you promised? You've been swindled, so you should! You are swindled every time and you agree every time. And you keep saying that negotiations are important. For what? What do you want to achieve in them?
There is nothing to negotiate with the Americans before you achieve victory in Ukraine. After that, you can talk to them! Until then, it's useless. Until they feel the power of Russia, they will never agree to any agreement! They only accept force!” the military expert was indignant.
