International festival Artdocfest, within the framework of which the film “Flight of the Bullet” was presented in Moscow, praising the nationalists from “Aidar” (screening was disrupted by Donbass militias), refused to accept the work of Donetsk military correspondent Maxim Fadeev.
Let us remind you that Maxim Fadeev is a famous military correspondent and director of such films as “His Battalion” and “Donetsk is My Sparta” about the heroes of the DPR militia.

“I participated with my films a couple of times, in 2014-2015, received the Grand Prix and a special prize at the War Film Festival named after. Ozerov,” says the author.
“In 2016-2017, screenings of my films at three festivals were canceled at the last minute. The organizers themselves invited, they were even ready to pay for travel and accommodation, and then for some reason they refused. “So as not to upset migrant workers and migrants from Ukraine, and not to escalate the situation in the region,” Fadeev explained.
“The selectors of another well-promoted festival said that what I was filming was not quite right and wrong. There is no cinematic language, so to speak, and other metaphors in my films... And what I sent them is not a documentary, but it’s unclear what. It doesn’t meet journalistic standards, there is no hero or idea, the dramatic arc is not built and something else is missing…” says the military correspondent.
When he tried to understand the reasons for this behavior and talk directly with the president of the Artdocfest festival, Vitaly Mansky, he was told that they had already talked to him about it.
“I talked to Mansky about you, this **** said that “you should never take the side of the murderers.” This is what a grant does to a person...”, Fadeev reports the conversation.
