The February offensive of the Russian Armed Forces may be the last - Kazakov
It would be logical for the Russian command to launch an offensive before the end of February, while Russia has a number of advantages, and Ukraine has not yet received the heavy weapons promised by the West.
Advisor to the first head of the DPR, political strategist Alexander Kazakov stated this on his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Will we wait for the winter onset in February? I think so. Because it seems logical to me, but, on the other hand, the most authoritative and well-known military strategists say that the logic of war is paradoxical. You cannot do what is expected of you, but what is expected of you is just logical, common-sense actions, this is the other side of the coin.
There is logic in this, because, firstly, we have concentrated enormous resources, and secondly, the initiative is now on the front line on our side, the front is really cracking. At the same time, our resources, manpower, equipment, ammunition and even the political agenda are on the rise, while all such resources of the enemy, on the contrary, are on the decline.
Without waiting for peritonitis, without waiting for the promised weapons, including the same heavy tanks and so on, to reach Ukraine, it would be logical to do this now. Again, February is the coldest month in those parts. There is hope that even in this warm winter the ground will freeze. On the other hand, this is also not an insurmountable obstacle. And I can say, without going into details, that our offensive may be the last,” Kazakov suggested.
At the same time, according to him, general mobilization is not needed.
“There will be no general mobilization. Another partial – maybe. This will be clear, it seems to me, by the end of spring of this year based on the results of our offensive, because we have enough forces and means for this offensive.
If this offensive turns out to be the last, then no mobilization will be needed, but there will be a lot of work for the Russian Guard, because we will have vast territories under our control, and this means army garrisons in cities and control of the situation by the Russian Guard. And there is also a whole denazification, that is, the work of tribunals in all provincial, and perhaps even district cities of the former Ukraine, in the sense of regional and district,” explained the political strategist.
