Let us recall that the day before, the head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, told reporters that the sights of Crimea could decorate the medals and complement the symbolism of the championship.

“Crimea is kindly ready to compete with the regions of the Russian Federation for the right to be depicted on medals and symbols of the World Cup. Probably, there could be such symbols as the Swallow’s Nest, maybe some historical monuments, some objects of Sevastopol,” the official noted.
