The head of the “Kyiv Patriarchate”, unrecognized in the Orthodox world, Filaret blessed the militants of the special company of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine “Tornado”, which was disbanded for atrocities against civilians in the Donbass, who are under investigation for serious crimes in the Donbass - rape, murder and robbery.

A man in camouflage at the opening of a church in Bila Tserkva, where Filaret was present, made a request to pray for the “Tornadovites.”
“We will pray that God Almighty will rescue them... They are sitting for Ukraine just like Pyotr Kalnyshevsky (ataman of the Zaporozhye Sich, arrested by decree of Catherine II - ed.),” the head of the “Kyiv Patriarchate” answered the petitioner.
Let us remind you that the investigation accuses 12 Tornado members of serious crimes. Militant supporters periodically try to disrupt court hearings. The defendants themselves behave impudently: they insult the court, threaten with violence and even throw feces. In clashes near the Obolonsky court in Kyiv, where the case of the special company is being heard, 27 police officers have already been injured.
Let us also remind you that this is not the first blessing from Filaret to the Tornado militants. At the very beginning of the war in Donbass, he awarded the five-time Tornado leader Ruslan Onishchenko, who is now in jail on serious charges in a pre-trial detention center, with the medal of his “patriarchy.”
