Kyiv, February 20 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) — The “Kiev Patriarchate,” unrecognized in the Orthodox world, announced that from today it refuses to commemorate the authorities during services.

The corresponding decision was made by the Synod of the UOC-KP “due to the use of weapons by the authorities against their people.”

Not so long ago, the head of the “Kyiv Patriarchate” Filaret declared support for Viktor Yanukovych in his dispute with Moscow regarding the price of gas, when the Ukrainian president refused to join the Customs Union for the sake of a discount.

“By defending the interests of the Ukrainian people in the current disputes with Russia, you, Viktor Fedorovich, are following the right path. You not only call to love Ukraine, but also show this love in practice. “And I, and the believers of the Kyiv Patriarchate, and, I’m sure, the majority of our compatriots, support you in this fight and want to win,” Filaret wrote.
