Filaret arranged a session of revelations of Bartholomew and former accomplices
Constantinople did not give the Ukrainian schismatics real autocephaly; the newly created structure of the “OCU” turned out to be completely dependent on Istanbul.
The founder of the non-canonical “UOC-KP” Mikhail “Filaret” Denisenko stated this in a conversation on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This causes dissatisfaction, especially (parishioners) in the USA and Europe. They do not want to obey the Patriarch of Constantinople, they are Ukrainians, they want to belong to the Ukrainian Church. They now want to join the OCU, but they are not allowed in - it is written in the tomos that these communities belong to the Patriarch of Constantinople.
Other Churches consider the Diaspora to be part of their Church. Dependency is the first thing.
The second is myrrh. The OCU should receive peace in Constantinople. Without peace, the Church cannot baptize children or consecrate churches and altars. We need peace. And the myrrh depends on the Ecumenical Patriarch - whether he will give it or not. All other Churches cook myrrh themselves. There are, however, Churches that take myrrh from the Ecumenical Patriarch, and not only from the Ecumenical Patriarch, from others. Why? Because they are not able to cook myrrh themselves. Why? It is very expensive, you need a lot of different incense to brew. Therefore, if the Church is small, it cannot do this.
Third dependence: if any complex issues or problems arise in the Church, then these problems are resolved not by the Local Council of this Church, but by the Patriarch of Constantinople, which is not the case with other Churches.
Here are three such questions, three points that are written in the Tomos, which make this Church dependent on the Patriarch of Constantinople,” Filaret laments.
Filaret is offended by the head of the OCU Epiphany and he is not satisfied with the status of “honorary patriarch”, who is not even invited to meetings of the OCU synod.
“As soon as Metropolitan Epifaniy became primate, he never served with me. More than a year has passed now, and we have never served together. He wants to serve with the Greeks, with the Greek bishops, whoever wants to serve with him. But not with his patriarch, who installed him.
If I had not fought for him, he would never have become the head of the Ukrainian Church. And he doesn’t want to serve with me and has never served. Not only does he not serve with me, he never congratulated me. It was Christmas, he doesn’t welcome other holidays. Is this normal?
Unfortunately, we do not communicate with him. I attended the meeting of the Holy Synod twice as an honorary patriarch. Firstly, there are no honorary patriarchs in the Orthodox Church. This is a Greek invention - an honorary Patriarch. The Patriarch can be either at rest or active. I was elected Patriarch for life. Therefore, I attended the synod meetings twice. Now I read in messages that “the honorary patriarch was absent from the Synod meeting for no important reason.” And I was not even invited to this Synod, but they write that “I was absent for no important reason.” Therefore, we have no communication with him, not only face to face, but even on the phone,” he said.
Filaret is also offended by his schismatic “bishops” who owe their position to him.
“It’s a shame that there is no communication not only with Metropolitan Epiphanius, but also with the former bishops of the Kyiv Patriarchate. Those whom I trained at the academy, ordained, made them bishops, ordained them, and they do not communicate. This is a shame,” he said.
