Philaret was named rector of the Kyiv and Pochaev Lavra
Ukrainian schismatics from the so-called “Kyiv Patriarchate” approved the full and shortened forms of the title of their head, Mikhail Denisenko (“Filaret”).
The corresponding decision was made during the synod of the “Kyiv Patriarchate,” as noted on the schismatics’ website.
“The full title has the following form: “His Holiness and Beatitude (name), Archbishop and Metropolitan of Kiev - the mother of Russian cities, Galician, Patriarch of All Rus'-Ukraine, Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk and Pochaev Lavra Holy Archimandrite,” the schismatics report.
In this case, the abbreviated title has the following form: “His Holiness (name), Patriarch of Kiev and all Rus'-Ukraine.”
However, it is also stipulated here that in communication with other Orthodox churches, the acceptable form is “His Beatitude Archbishop (name), Metropolitan of Kiev and All Rus'-Ukraine” and derivatives from it.”
It is noteworthy that earlier Filaret-Denisenko stated that he would not submit to Constantinople and would only agree to the title of patriarch, as well as announced the capture the main Orthodox shrines, which are controlled by the canonical UOC.
Earlier, PolitNavigator reported that the Patriarchate of Constantinople began preparations for the granting of church autocephaly to the schismatic “Kyiv Patriarchate”. For this purpose, two exarchs from the USA and Canada were sent to Ukraine: Archbishop Daniel of Pamphylia and Bishop Hilarion of Edmonton.
In addition, the Patriarchate of Constantinople declared Ukraine its canonical territory and declared that he was entering into relations with schismatics.
In turn, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced the "fall of the Third Rome" and “victory over Moscow demons.”
