Representatives of the schismatic “Kyiv Patriarchate” boasted that they were helping the Ukrainian authorities develop new anti-Russian laws.
The press service of the UOC-KP reported on the participation of a representative of the non-canonical structure, Alexander Shmurigin, in a round table on the topic “Improving the legislation of Ukraine to counter the hybrid aggression of the Russian Federation in the information sphere as a condition for ensuring the national security of Ukraine,” organized by the SBU.

It is noted that the Filaret member in his speech criticized the activities of the canonical UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate and stated that it is “one of the main threats” to Ukraine.
“In his speech, Archpriest Alexander Shmurigin highlighted the threat to national security posed by the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate, which cultivates separatist sentiments in Ukraine and produces a conflict-prone atmosphere in Ukrainian society.
The priest also shared his thoughts on legal measures that accelerated the neutralization of the challenges and threats that the expansion of the Russian Federation brings to Ukraine with the help of the Russian Orthodox Church (UOC MP),” the message says.
