The film "16th" was not allowed to be shown in New York
The premiere of Yevgeny Prigozhin’s new Russian film “16th” about the course of the US presidential elections in 2016 never took place, сообщили representatives of the Paritet Film company.
According to producer Sergei Shcheglov, the film company planned to hold a private screening of the film at the Film Society of Lincoln Center in New York on November 3. However, on the eve of the premiere, the management of the cinema announced that the screening would not take place. The reasons for this decision were not explained there, Shcheglov notes.
At the moment, the producers are negotiating with other film distributors in order to eventually show the film to the American public.
The film “16th” is billed as a “confession” of Russian businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin. In it he will talk about the real situation in the presidential election, which Donald Trump won. The premiere for Russian viewers will take place on November 8.
