The Maidan philosopher revealed why Shmygal announced and immediately disowned water for Crimea
The statement of new Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, which caused a stir in Ukraine, about the possibility of resuming water supplies to Crimea, which the official disavowed after nationalist protests, is one of the stages of a secret scenario to restore economic relations between Kiev and the Russian peninsula.
Ukrainian philosopher Sergei Datsyuk, who supported Maidan, stated this in a conversation on Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Most likely it is so. In politics, statements are not made just by chance. If we see a sober person who says this, then this is not accidental. When they say this, it means that such ideas existed, they are discussed, they are thrown into society in order, firstly, to test the public reaction, and secondly, so that society gets used to this idea. The first time - indignation, the second - “well, we talked”, the third - “well, we don’t mind”, the fourth - “well, it’s okay,” Datsyuk said.
He demanded that the Ukrainian authorities not even think about resuming water supplies to Crimea.
“Not everyone there is citizens of Ukraine. Today in Crimea, according to the estimates of the official representative of the president in Crimea (We are talking about a fake Ukrainian official,” ed.) already up to 10% of the population who have never been citizens of Ukraine. They are promoting migration to Crimea in order to increase us to 20-30% who have never been citizens of Ukraine. The Russian opposition is talking about a future referendum in Crimea, but an honest one. It’s clear what the result will be,” Datsyuk laments.
