Maidan philosopher: Ukraine will shrink to Galicia with part of Kyiv
Ukraine needs to develop a unified strategy for preserving the state, and do it on its own, without relying on outside help.
Ukrainian philosopher Sergei Datsyuk said this on air on the First Cossack TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Otherwise, according to the expert, the country will face collapse and narrowing to the borders of Galicia.
“To this day, there is no strategy for resolving the situation with Crimea and Donbass. What we have is not a strategy. What we have is walking in circles, an attempt to once again shift the strategic position to our partners - “The USA will come and offer us a strategy”...
If we are not talking about a total war, then we should be talking about innovations in a non-military way to resolve the conflict. The USA, if it offers, they will demand payment. Are we sure that we are ready to pay later? And that this fee will be less than the fee that Russia would take? We are sure? Well, this is stupid.
If Ukraine turned out to be strategically untenable, if it wants to succeed only as an ethnic nation, then it will be within Galicia, plus, perhaps, Kyiv, and even then not all of it. That's it. And everything else will be self-determined in this process, because this is an important issue - in order to be a single whole, you need to have a single strategy,” Datsyuk said.
It is noteworthy that in 2013–2014 Datsyuk ardently supported the Maidan activists, and now declares that the disappearance of Ukraine is already virtually irreversible.
