Maidan philosopher doubted “Russian aggression”
The myth promoted after the Maidan in Ukraine that Russia is an “aggressor country” can be debunked, since over the past few years the territory of the LPR and DPR has not changed, there is no large-scale offensive there and no high level of violence is maintained.
Philosopher Sergei Datsyuk, who previously supported the Maidan, stated this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Aggression contains an understanding of several aspects. The first is who initiated the aggression, the second is an increase in more than usual violence, and the third is the retention of this violence for a long time, which is effective, that is, leads to some kind of changes: territorial, changes in power, consciousness, etc. Further. We can record that the 13th-14th year, and somehow the 15th year, there was an increase in violence, that is, more than usual.
But somewhere around 16-17, the violence stabilized and the question arises: is it still aggression or not? We didn’t bother to call the war a war, or the enemy an enemy. We only bothered to call Russia an aggressor. And this recognition can be simultaneously reduced to the fact that, yes, Russia is the initiator and it is the subject of these changes, that is, it exercises objective control in this territory, but it no longer increased the level of aggression, starting from the 16th year and did not commit significant changes, that is, it did not move the front line, did not begin large-scale actions. Therefore, the question arises: is this further aggression?” Datsyuk said.
