The Champions League final turns into a failure for Ukraine
The UEFA Champions League final, in which the Spanish Real Madrid and the English Liverpool will meet on May 26 at the Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kyiv, is turning into a failure for Ukraine. Ukrainian political scientist Petr Oleshchuk writes about this in his blog.
“So, why do we need the Champions League final? 1. Paralyze the work and life of Kyiv for a month. 2. Cover the entire center Gazprom advertising. 3. Give the people of Kiev the image of gluttonous rip-offs of tourists. Scare many people away for years. 4. Spend a lot of money. Have I forgotten any advantages? – writes Oleschuk.
“Even the most win-win enterprise can bring nothing but troubles to Ukrainians,” political scientist Sergei Belashko sarcastically comments.
